Pompa helps kids at Double H Ranch through sponsorships; Milton CAT steps up for the cause

(DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - February 15, 2013) - ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver Ed Pompa typically only races a handful of times a year, and he works hard to get sponsors for his No. 10 Fast Track Racing Chevrolet. However, the dollars that come in do not buy race tires, or racing gas or anything else that makes the small operation run.

All sponsor proceeds go direct to the Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne, N.Y., which helps critically ill children enjoy some precious moments away from all their worries.

Milton CAT, with 13 locations serving the northeastern United States, has joined with Pompa in support of the Double H Ranch for the season opening 50th running of the Lucas Oil 200 presented by MAVTV American Real at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

"My family has always supported the Double H Ranch, about 20 years now." Pompa said. "It helps give seriously ill kids a chance to forget about their medical issues and enjoy life.

"I only race a few times a year, and most companies probably don't want to sponsor just one or two races, so I race out of my own wallet, and bring in sponsors who have an interest in helping the kids at Double H. It's really a win-win for everyone. pompadoublehhood.jpgThe sponsor money we raise goes to the kids at Double H; the companies get great publicity, and I get the satisfaction of knowing we've all helped the kids. And, I get to go racing too.

"We also find that the companies who end up sponsoring our car want to continue helping the Double H Ranch well beyond the racing, so it helps align great companies with a great cause."

Pompa's affiliation with Milton CAT goes way back.

"Our family run construction company has been involved with Milton CAT for over 50 years."

"My father and uncle started the business, and believed in CAT equipment to get the job done. They knew it took more than just quality equipment; it took complete dealer support to complete the package. Milton CAT is that dealer."

In the same way they take care of their customers, Milton CAT also takes care of the community it serves.

"Milton CAT has supported my ‘Racing for the Ranch' fundraiser in previous years. This year, Milton CAT will be the prime supporter on the Double H Ranch Chevrolet for Daytona. All sponsors on the race car are helping to support the Double H Ranch. One-hundred percent of sponsor money goes to helping the kids at Double H."

Milton CAT is joined this year by Milwaukee Crusher Co., The Gorman Group, Pompa Bros. Inc., Biondi Rigging, and John Ray & Sons as associate sponsors on Pompa's Andy Hillenburg-owned No. 10 Chevrolet.
