Championship Contender Craig Goess Headed Back to Pocono, Site of First Series Triumph
goesscandidmans10.jpg(LONG POND, Pa. - July 28, 2010) - If anyone doubted Craig Goess's championship possibilities at the onset of the 2010 season, it's fairly safe to say that the naysayers have been all but silenced. Coming into the late-season homestretch, Goess, driver of the No. 81 Greenville Toyota of NC Toyota for Eddie Sharp Racing, is a man on a mission. Outside of a DNF at Toledo in May, Goess has not finished worse than sixth in his last six outings. Save the sixth place finish at Michigan, a race he nearly won, he's not finished out of the top-five. And, oh yah, he's also second in championship points headed to Pocono Raceway for this Saturday's Weis Markets 125, the same track he earned his career-first victory back in early June.
