24, 2013:Rain and wet grounds has forced the
cancellation of today’s practice session at Flat Rock Speedway.There will be no activity at all as the rain
continues to fall.
Speedway officials have opted to open 1 hour earlier on
Saturday, April 27 for the Jet’s Pizza Season Opening Night show.
The pit area will now open
at 12:30, practice begins at 2, time trials are set for 5:15 and racing begins
at 7 p.m.
Race teams are reminded to
get to the track early to get through technical inspection.Race time is 7 p.m. sharp.

COLD FLAT ROCK PRACTICE HEATS THINGS UP FOR NEW SEASON
Flat
Rock, Michigan—April 20, 2013:Despite
a dusting of snow on the rooftops and the track surface in the morning, a
hearty group of 47 race teams took laps at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday
afternoon to prepare for the Jet’s Pizza Season Opener, which is set for
Saturday, April 27.The cold, bitter
wind and snow flurries failed to halt the 5 hour practice session, which went
off without any incidents.
A variety of race cars--Late Models, Figure 8’s, Street
Stocks, Sportsman, Trucks, Enduro cars, Great Lakes Mini Cups and MCR Dwarf
Cars zipped around the fast ¼ mile oval in preparation for the 2013 racing
season.The new-look Figure 8’s were
sharp, as the class has the option to run without front fenders and nosepieces,
giving the cars a Modified-type look.
The final practice session before opening night is set
for Wednesday, April 24 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.The pit area will open at 4 p.m.
Flat Rock Speedway will begin its 60th
Anniversary season Saturday, April 27 with the Jet’s Pizza Season Opener,
featuring the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Parts Galore Figure 8’s and DTS

(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 20, 2013) -- Johnny VanDoorn took the checkered flag Saturday night to win the 7-Up 150 at Toledo Speedway, the historic first-ever race between the ARCA Midwest Tour and ARCA/CRA Super Series.
VanDoorn re-took the lead at lap 141 and held Chris Wimmer off to take the checkered flag. Wimmer was the half-way leader.
Chris Wimmer was the halfway leader Saturday night in the
7-Up 150 at Toledo Speedway.
Wimmer, driving the RaceTeamGear Chevrolet, took the lead
late in the first half of the race and held on until a 15-minute break at the
middle of the race.
Wimmer is a ARCA Midwest Tour "Touring Star."

Johnny VanDoorn has won the pole for today’s 7-Up 150, the first-ever combined
race between the ARCA Midwest Tour and the ARCA/CRA Super Series.
VanDoorn turned a qualifying lap in 118.444
(15.197) to nip Chris Wimmer (15.267), Bubba Pollard (15.281) and Kyle Benjamin
(15.33) for the top spot. Sylar Holzhausen rounds out the top five.
Coopersville, Michigan native Johnny VanDoorn, a former
winner at Toledo Speedway, turned in the fastest lap during the third and final
practice session Saturday as dozens of drivers are getting set for the 7-Up
150.
VanDoorn completed the fast lap at just over 117 mph with
Chris Wimmer, Kyle Benjamin, Eddie Hoffman and Anderson Bowen rounding out the
top five.
Cars are now in the garage and crews are making last-minute
fixes before the 3 p.m. qualifying session.
Today’s 7-Up 150 at Toledo Speedway is scheduled for racing
at 5 p.m.
Chris Wimmer, an ARCA Midwest Tour “Touring Star” had the
fastest time in today’s first practice session for the 7-Up 150 at Toledo
Speedway, turning a lap in 15.549 seconds, or 115.763 mph.
Wimmer and the rest of the more than 40 cars at Toledo today
will attempt to qualify for tonight’s 7-Up 150 at 3 p.m.
Johnny VanDoorn, a past winner at the high-banked half-mile
Toledo Speedway, was second in the practice session at 15.65 with the No. 26 of
Rick Turner third.

Today’s schedule has practice from 11 a.m. to Noon and from
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Qualifying is set for 3, with two last-chance races at
5 p.m., followed by a driver autograph session, driver introductions and the
7-Up 150 lap main event.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 19, 2013) - Wausau, Wisconsin's Chris Wimmer, in his own No. 52 Wimmer Racing Chevrolet, was fastest overall Friday during a four-hour practice session at Toledo Speedway in preparation for Saturday's "Border Wars" 7-UP 150. Wimmer, among the 40 drivers who posted time, circled the half-mile oval with an average speed of 114.935 mph. Raceday Saturday gets underway with practice at 11 a.m., followed by qualifying at 3 p.m. Last chance races will begin at 5 followed by a driver autograph session that leads to pre-race ceremonies, and ultimately, the 7-Up 150 main event. All on-track activities will feature live timing and scoring and live streaming audio.
(DeWITT, Mich. - April 19, 2013) - If Chad Finley runs as well this weekend in the "Border Wars" 7-UP 150 at Toledo Speedway as he did in last month's annual Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway, the DeWitt, Michigan second-generation racer will be a force to be reckoned with.

most of the new poles and catch fence in turns 3-4 are up, about 25 foot of the
concrete wall in turn 2 has been replaced and we are making progress despite
the crazy weather of the past 3-4 weeks.
