(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 29, 2012) - Fans and supporters following the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards through its 60th Anniversary Season will have the opportunity to watch or listen to every race of the year, as the ARCA Racing Network has a new online home for audio coverage of eight remaining non-televised races.
Hosts Charles Krall and Tim Clagg of the ARCA Racing Network will deliver a live online audio call to ARCARacing.com visitors for all races not televised on SPEED for the remainder of 2012, beginning with this Saturday's Akona 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Elko Speedway in Minnesota.
For each race, visitors can click the "Listen Live" button on ARCARacing.com's Timing and Scoring page to hear the call, which will remain free of charge to all listeners.
Races to air over the ARCA Racing Network include: Saturday at Elko; the June 24 event at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway; the July 1 event at New Jersey Motorsports Park; the August 11 event at Berlin (Mich.) Raceway; the August 19 event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield; the August 26 event at Madison (Wis.) International Speedway; the September 3 event at the DuQuoin (Ill.) State Fairgrounds; and the September 15 event at Salem (Ind.) Speedway. A new relationship between ARCA and North Carolina-based Drager Marketing helped to broker the deal for the remainder of 2012's schedule.
In addition, Krall will host a weekly, hour-long show every Tuesday to preview upcoming action, review recent races, and discuss the latest in the ARCA Racing Series with drivers, crew chiefs, officials, and more - the movers and shakers that have kept the stock car series running through the end of its sixth decade.
The first of 22 weekly shows will air from ARCARacing.com tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern, with guest appearances from 2012 race winners Chris Buescher and Alex Bowman and ARCA president and CEO Ron Drager. This season's run will take the weekly show through the season's final race at Kansas Speedway in October.
"I am honored to again be on the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards radio broadcasts," said Krall, who made several appearances on the ARCA Racing Network last season. "I really think we get to bring the best that ARCA has to offer to our listeners. The short tracks and the dirt miles are what make ARCA different than every other stock car series in America. When I saw the schedule, those are the races I circled as the ones I'd want to buy a ticket to go watch. We're going to have an awesome time bringing those races to the listeners and I think they'll be able to feel that excitement when they tune in."
The ARCA Racing Series will hold two practices at Elko Speedway on Saturday, from 2-2:45 p.m. and 3:15-4. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell will follow at 5, and every driver in the starting field will sign autographs for fans on the track from 6:30-7:30.
The 200-lap, 75-mile Akona 200 will begin at 8, with live coverage from the ARCA Racing Network. All times are Central.
