(June 29, 2012) - Santa Claus is readying his sleigh for the annual Christmas in July prize giveaways to be held at Toledo Speedway Friday, July 13 and Flat Rock Speedway Saturday, July 14.  Prize donations are being sought for both tracks as the Jolly Old Elf prepares for his visit to 2 of his favorite short tracks!

Santa Claus will be on hand to distribute the prizes at both tracks and greet fans of all ages!

Jeff’s Collision of Toledo and Toledo season ticket holders Chuck and Marie Davis are the first contributors to the prize lists.  The Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group, the official soft drink distributor for both speedways, is emptying out its prize closet for the events!

A separate drawing will be held for children and adults on both nights.  Fans may enter the drawing upon arrival to the tracks July 13 and July 14. 

Prizes may be donated by calling Flat Rock at 734-782-2480 or Toledo at 419-727-1100.  Prizes should have a minimum value of $10.  

Friday, July 13, Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales and Velvet Ice Cream will team up to sponsor the Toledo night of racing.  The ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman will stage a 50 lap feature, while the Parts Galore Figure 8’s and R & M Recycling Street Stocks will also be in action.  The Great Lakes Mini Cup cars will also make a visit to Toledo for the event.

The front gates open at 5 at Toledo, time trials begin at 6:15 and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Flat Rock’s DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will battle in their biggest race of the season Saturday, July 14.  A 100 lap main event on the fast ¼ mile paved oval will highlight the racing activities of the night.  The Parts Galore Figure 8 division will also be in competition.

Flat Rock’s timetable has the gates opening at 4, time trials at 5:30 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.
