(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 6, 2012) - Despite widespread power outages across northwest Ohio, business is full speed ahead at Toledo Speedway for tonight's fourth leg of the ARCA Allegiant Gold Cup Series, featuring the top outlaw late models in the Midwest.

Toledo Speedway is experiencing phone issues unrelated to the storm, so those calling the track are advised that tonight's races are on schedule as those issues are being resolved.

Terry Senneker, Mike Luberda Jr., and Harold Fair Jr. have won the first three races of the Gold Cup schedule at Toledo, Spartan Speedway, and Flat Rock Speedway, respectively. However, Claude Plante Jr. leads the points, and he's followed by defending series champion Dennis Strickland, who is 20 points behind at the year's halfway point. Dakota Carlson, Mike Root, and Craig Everage comprise the rest of the top five going into tonight's fourth race. 

Also tonight, Toledo Speedway will host a 50-lap road course race, which uses parts of the track's half-mile and quarter-mile ovals, as well as pit road. Figure 8 cars, street stocks, factory stocks, Enduro cars, sportsman cars, and 4-cylinder cars will make up the field for the race, which will be the longest road course race at Toledo since the event began several years ago.

The pit area will open at 2:30 p.m., with late model practice following at 4:30. The gates will open to fans at 4:30. Time trials will begin at 6:15, with the road course practice session following at 6:45 and racing starting at 7:30.
