Two for Two: Jones Sweeps Practices at Berlin

jonesercarberlin12.jpg(MARNE, Mich. - August 11, 2012) - Erik Jones put his experience at Berlin Raceway to further use in the final ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards practice of the day, leading the session over Chad Hackenbracht and Clint King.

Jones, a 16-year-old from Byron, Mich., led a group of three Venturini Motorsports drivers in the top four spots on the final chart. Joining him and King was Brennan Poole, who edged Chase Elliott for fourth.

Jones' best of 41 laps in the No. 55 Chevrolet came in 17.183 seconds, topping his effort from the first session earlier in the day.

Mason Mingus, Matt Lofton, Nelson Canache, Chris Buescher, and Frank Kimmel comprised the rest of the top 10.

Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell will start at 5, with live timing and scoring coverage at ARCARacing.com. The Berlin ARCA 200 presented by Hantz Group will start at 8:30 with the same live timing and scoring coverage.
