(MOORESVILLE, N.C. - August 17, 2012) - Carter 2 Motorsports announced today that Dominick Casola will drive the No. 04 RacewithRusty.com Dodge this weekend at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
The Allen Crowe 100 will be the first of two dirt races for Casola to enter with the team this year in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.
Casola (top) is no stranger to the ARCA Racing Series, having previously driven for Andy Belmont Racing and Win-Tron Racing in 2007 and 2008, respectively, with his highest finish of third coming at Talladega Superspeedway in 2007. This will be the 25-year-old's first time back in the series in nearly four years and he is ready for the challenge.
"I am more than excited for my return to the ARCA Racing Series," said Casola, who has 33 ARCA starts. "I have to thank C2M for asking me to drive their car this week, and will do my very best to get them the strong run they deserve. I ran here in 2007 and ran in the top five
most of the day until a late race pit miscue set me back. My plan this time is to run all the laps and keep the car in one piece, but the main goal is to put the No. 04 RacewithRusty.com car in contention for a win on the dirt."
The New Jersey native is also scheduled to run the second dirt race in two weeks at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds.
"I am very happy to have my old friend Dominick in the No. 04 for both dirt races," said team owner Roger Carter. "Dom is a great driver and we are looking for great things this weekend."
Tommy O'Leary (right), a veteran of 22 ARCA starts, is currently slated to drive the team's No. 40 Dodge.
