ARCA, Toledo Featured in New National TV Spot
(TOLEDO, Ohio - September 8, 2012) - The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and Toledo Speedway are both featured in a new commercial that will premiere tonight on ABC's broadcast of the NASCAR race from Richmond International Raceway.
The series, titled "My Chase," features photo and video reviews of the childhoods and early careers of several drivers who will contend for the Sprint Cup Series championship. One driver set to be featured in a 30-second commercial tonight is Brad Keselowski, who got his start racing at Toledo Speedway. Additionally, his father Bob is an ARCA Racing Series champion.
Images of both are included almost right away at the video's onset. First, Bob Keselowski is shown with wife Kay and sons Brad and Brian in Victory Lane after the GM Goodwrench Dealers 200 at Michigan International Speedway on June 20, 1992. Keselowski beat Clifford Allison, Loy Allen Jr., Jim Sauter, and Bill Venturini to the finish that day in the family's home state.
Several frames later, Brad Keselowski is shown in Victory Lane at Toledo Speedway as the winner of a race in the track's Late Model Challenge before his NASCAR career launched. To see the full video, click the "Play" button below.
The ARCA Racing Series will travel to the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers Fall Classic presented by Federated Car Care at Indiana's Salem Speedway on Saturday, September 15.
Practice for the year's second race at Salem will take place over two sessions, from 12:30-1:15 p.m. and 1:45-2:30 p.m. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell is scheduled for 4 p.m., and a driver autograph session will be open to all fans from 4:45-5:15 p.m. The 200-lap, 111-mile race will start at 7:15 p.m.
ARCARacing.com will feature live timing and scoring coverage throughout the day, and ARCA Racing Network hosts Charlie Krall and Tim Clagg will deliver a live audio call for the race on the site.
