Series Drivers Signing Autographs Friday in Salem

autographssalemfall11.jpg(SALEM, Ind. - September 13, 2012) - The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will contribute more than just 200 laps of high-intensity action to the biggest race weekend on Salem Speedway's 2012 calendar this weekend.

More than a dozen drivers are scheduled to attend a special ARCA autograph session at the annual "Friday Night on the Square" street festival in downtown Salem. The event takes place at the town square along Main St. tomorrow - Friday, September 14 - at 6:30 p.m. Drivers will sign for one hour. Those scheduled to attend include Caleb Armstrong, Chris Buescher, Nelson Canache, Chase Elliott, Spencer Gallagher, Chad Hackenbracht, Tom Hessert, Erik Jones, Frank Kimmel, Frank Kimmel II, Will Kimmel, Brad Lloyd, Matt Lofton, Jared Marks, Brennan Poole, and Thomas Praytor.  

Adding color to the Salem Speedway and ARCA display will be an ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards hauler, which will be open for fans to walk through. Will Kimmel's No. 68 show car is scheduled to be on display as well.

The popular Friday evening event, which draws thousands of visitors to the historic town square, offers fun and festivities for all ages. The festival, sponsored by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, features over 70 booths and displays, including face painting and games for the kids, homemade crafts, and much more. Local service clubs and organizations, along with vendors and downtown restaurants, will provide a wide array of taste-tempting foods.

Race fans are also invited to register to win two free reserved seat tickets for Saturday's Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic presented by Federated Car Care. Many downtown merchants will also be offering special deals and giveaways throughout the evening.

"Friday Night On The Square" will kick off at 6 p.m. and last until 10 p.m. Parking will be available in the square's outlying blocks.
