(SALEM, Ind. - September 15, 2012) - Frank Kimmel II and Team BCR Racing are together today for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers Fall Classic presented by Federated Care at Salem Speedway, and the young driver is looking forward to the opportunity.
"I'm really looking forward to Salem," said Kimmel II, who will drive the No. 09 Motor Honey/Casite Ford. "Howard (Bixman) and the guys at Team BCR have been working so hard to give me the best car possible. It's going to be the toughest field all year for an ARCA race so we will definitely have our work cut out for us. With national marketing partners like Motor Honey, Casite, Ford, Roush Yates Engines and Roush Yates Performance Parts, I think we have a great chance to run in the top five and put the No. 09 in a position to compete for a win."
Bixman, the crew chief and owner, expressed his thoughts on today's race.
"I know Team BCR and I are very excited about this opportunity to work with Frank again. He showed plenty of talent when we worked together last year at the fall Salem race. Frank led laps and ran up front throughout the entire race, which resulted in a seventh-place finish. We're proud to have Motor Honey and Casite as our primary marketing partner at Salem Speedway. I'm also very proud that Motorsports Rehabilition Foundation has become a partner starting at Salem."
Practice for the year's second race at Salem will take place over two sessions, from 12:30-1:15 p.m. and 1:45-2:30 p.m. today. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell is scheduled for 4 p.m., and a driver autograph session will be open to all fans from 4:45-5:15 p.m. The 200-lap, 111-mile race will start at 7:15 p.m.
ARCARacing.com will feature live timing and scoring coverage throughout the day, and ARCA Racing Network hosts Charlie Krall and Tim Clagg will deliver a live audio call for the race on the site.
