(TOLEDO, Ohio - October 26, 2012) - ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards champion Chris Buescher was featured this week in The Dallas Morning News, just days after clinching his first series title with an eighth-place finish at Kansas Speedway.
Buescher is from Prosper, Texas, a short distance north of Dallas. Buescher's racing career began in Texas, years before his ARCA debut in 2009 and first win in 2010.
An excerpt from writer Gerry Fraley's work follows.
"It still hasn't sunk in yet," Buescher said in a telephone conversation. "I'm starting to realize it a little more every day. It's an exciting feeling."
Buescher won the title with a remarkably consistent performance that belied his youth.
He finished with four wins and 16 top-10 finishes in the 19-race season. His worst finish was 20th in the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway.
The more telling item about the season is Buescher completed all 2,786 laps in the Ford of Roulo Brothers Racing. Buescher became the first driver in ARCA history to complete every lap of every race. He was good on the speedways and good on the half-mile bullring tracks.

Buescher and the other top contenders from the 2012 ARCA Racing Series season will be honored at the ARCA Racing Series Championship Awards Banquet, scheduled for Saturday, December 8.
The banquet will take place in a new location, the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, and will be held in conjunction with the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS), which will begin two days prior.
