Welcome to the official online home for ARCA membership and license applications for the 2013 season!
The Automobile Racing Club of America is an association of members - a "club," as the official company name clearly defines. Membership is formalized through an annual licensing process, and each member must possess a valid license.
The licensing process starts with a license application form, submitted for approval through Member Services at the ARCA home office.
The ARCA license is broken into several categories, starting with the national touring ARCA Racing Series. A Participant Member License is required for team owners, drivers, crew chiefs, and mechanics in the ARCA Racing Series. Participants in the ARCA Racing Series may purchase a "Photo ID" annual hard card, which includes race event pit pass fees.
For ARCA regional tour and weekly racing membership, licenses are required for the driver and team owner, but optional for the crew chief and mechanic.
Member benefits include the ARCA Participant Accident Insurance Program. The ARCA Participant Accident Insurance Program is provided to ARCA-licensed members only.
Fully-licensed ARCA members are entitled to excess insurance designed to pay medical expenses for race-event-related accidents at the track up to the stated limit of coverage and per the terms and conditions of the policies issued by any track or policies issued for the ARCA-sanctioned event. Qualified medical expenses an ARCA member incurs while participating in an ARCA-sanctioned event (who has followed the proper registration procedures) will be paid on an excess basis once all other valid and collectible insurance, held by the injured party may have, has been exhausted.
The ARCA Participant Accident Insurance program becomes effective once the ARCA Member is fully licensed, and the excess insurance policies become effective for the licensed member for claims arising from that date forward, through the end of the current season. The ARCA Participant Accident License Insurance Program increases the coverage for the ARCA member from $15,000 (the minimum medical coverage provided to licensed members) to $500,000.
