(OREGON, Wisc. – Aug. 24, 2013) – The speeds are getting
faster at Madison International Speedway for the ARCA Racing Series presented
Cars on the track for the second practice session Saturday
afternoon were a bit faster than the earlier session, but the results were
fairly similar. Justin Boston, in the No. 25 ZLOOP Computer & Recycling
Toyota, put out the quickest lap of the day just before the second session
expired, turning his lap in 18.317 seconds.
Ross Kenseth, in the No. 52 Blain’s Farm & Fleet
Chevrolet was second-fastest, turning the high-banked half-mile in 18.322
seconds. Kenseth was third-fastest in the early practice session. The cars are
practicing in advance of Sunday’s Herr’s Live Life With Flavor 200.
Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell is scheduled to

Spencer Gallagher, in the No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet,
continues his strong day. Gallagher was second fastest in the practice session
and third in the second. His fastest lap of the two sessions was 18.472
seconds, or 97.445 mph.
Rounding out the top five speeds of the second practice
session were Mason Mingus and Travis Sauter.
Kyle Benjamin, 15, hit the top 10 in his practice session while
Mason Mitchell, going for his third consecutive pole award, also squeezed into the
top 10 speeds.
The ARCA Racing Series qualifying record at Madison was set by Alex Bowman last year. Bowman turned his lap in 18,093 seconds, or 99.486 mph.
