(MOORESVILLE, N.C. - September 13, 2013) - Scott Lagasse, Jr. will drive the No. 22 Cunningham Motorsports Dodge at Kansas Speedway for the final ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards event of the 2013 season.
The last time Lagasse drove a Cunningham Motorsports Dodge at Kansas (in 2007), he earned won the race. Lagasse ran 13 races with the Cunningham organization in 2006 and 2007, earning one victory, 4 top-five finishes and seven top-10s. Lagasse also won at Chicagoland Speedway under the Venturini Motorsports banner in 2008.
Cunningham Motorsports returns to Kansas Speedway as the reigning champion, having won last year's race with current Nationwide driver, Alex Bowman.
Cunningham Motorsports tested at Kansas on Monday, posting the quickest speed overall with 17-year-old rookie Tyler Reddick behind the wheel.
Lagasse, Jr., from St. Augustine, Fla., is the son of former NASCAR driver and ARCA winner Scott Lagasse, Sr. The 32-year-old has also competed in 55 NASCAR Nationwide Series races over seven years, with a best finish of eighth at Talladega Superspeedway and Phoenix Int'l Raceway. He also has 19 Camping World Truck Series starts.
Lagasse will be the 10th different driver to hop into the No. 22 Dodge this season.
The October 4 Kansas Lottery 98.9 is live on FOX Sports 1 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern. The event will also feature live timing and scoring of all on-track activities at ARCAracing.com.
