(WINCHESTER, Ind. - June 24, 2012) - Saturday night was certainly an evening to remember for points leaders in two ARCA races at Winchester Speedway.
The ARCA Truck Series and ARCA CRA Super Series both raced at Winchester last night, preludes to today's all-ARCA tripleheader feature race, the Herr's Chase the Taste 200. Today's race will be the ninth of 20 for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards this season.
Danny Jackson (5, left), already a winner of two Truck Series races this year, won the pole and drove to victory in the Landrum Springs 50. Brandon Oakley (6) finished second and Levi Mansfield was third.
Johnny VanDoorn won for the second Saturday in a row in Super Series action, holding off Scott Hantz over 100 laps. Peter Cozzolino finished third. Jackson and VanDoorn are each points leaders in their series.
Two drivers who will participate in today's Herr's Chase the Taste 200 played key roles in last night's event. Mason Mingus drove in the Super Series event, finishing 20th, and Erik Jones spotted for Hantz. Jones will start fourth today and Mingus will open 10th.
