Daytona Countdown: 7 – Codie Rohrbaugh

Petersburg, West Virginia native Codie Rohrbaugh has been a part of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards since his first start at Kentucky Speedway in 2016. He’s focused exclusively on superspeedways in the three seasons he’s raced in ARCA, and when he’s on the racetrack with ten laps to go, he’s usually contending for a top-ten finish.

Rohrbaugh’s family-owned team fields the No. 7 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet he will pilot in the upcoming Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire at Daytona International Speedway.

The team has methodically grown into contenders on ARCA’s big tracks, with Rohrbaugh collecting four top-ten finishes in 2018 including a season-best seventh at Pocono in July. Those stats would likely have been higher if not for a pair of accidents on the two restrictor-plate tracks, Daytona and Talladega Superspeedway, which resulted in a 38th and 24th-place finish respectively.

For 2019, Rohrbaugh and team have commited to chasing the General Tire Superpeedway Challenge, the nine-race championship-within-a-championship on tracks longer than one mile.

The 2019 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season starts with the Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 9. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the race live, with the green flag waving over the expected 40-car field at 4:45 pm ET. ARCARacing.com will have complete event coverage, including live timing & scoring and track updates, free for ARCA for Me members. New members can register at ARCARacing.com/login.
