2018 ARCA Champ Sheldon Creed Sweeps Texas Stadium Super Truck Sunday Doubleheader

Sheldon Creed, the 2018 ARCA Menards Series champion, won both halves of the Sunday Robby Gordon Stadium Super Trucks doubleheader at Texas Motor Speedway. Creed avoided numerous incidents to win the opener, including a crash that saw Robby Gordon, Matt Brabham, and Jeff Hoffman end up upside down.

Creed took the checkered flag in the 15-lap race on a course that started on the frontstretch, jumped the pit wall into the infield, featured an 11-foot high and 140-foot long jump before jumping back over pit wall and on to pit road. Blade Hildebrand and Gavin Harlien were second and third.

Creed won the nightcap, held after the conclusion of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, defeating Brabham and Gordon.

Creed is competing full-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2019 for GMS Racing. He has shown speed in qualifying, starting no worse than ninth in the five races to this point and having an average start of 5.2. He’s best finish of the season to this point is a sixth-place run at Las Vegas in March.

As the defending ARCA Menards Series champion, Creed will be inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame ARCA Wall of Champions in Thursday, April 25. The ceremony will kick off the General Tire 200 event weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, which kicks off on Friday, April 26 with practice at 9:30 am ET/8:30 am CT, followed by General Tire Pole Qualifying at 3:35 pm ET/2:35 pm CT, with the 76-lap General Tire 200 scheduled to go green at 6 pm ET/5 pm CT. The race will be televised live on FS1; ARCA for Me members can access free live timing & scoring, live chat, and live track updates at ARCARacing.com. New users can join at ARCARacing.com/login.
