According to Venturini Motorsports, ARCA Menards Series championship leader Christian Eckes will not compete in today’s Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 at Salem Speedway after falling ill with flu-like symptoms last night.
Eckes, who is the defending winner of the event, will be replaced by Harrison Burton. Burton won the season-opening race for the ARCA Menards Series at Daytona International Speedway in February.
Eckes leads the ARCA Menards Series standings by 95 points over second-place Travis Braden going into today’s race at Salem.
Due to the driver change, Burton will start from the tail of the field.
