The ARCA Menards Series will conduct an open test session at Charlotte Motor Speedway today in preparation for the May 23 General Tire 150 at the 1.5-mile quad-oval located in Concord, North Carolina.
Twenty-eight drivers have registered for the test, which is scheduled to start at 1 pm ET and continue through 7 pm ET.
Current series championship leader Travis Braden (No. 27 MatrixCare/Consonus Health Care/Liberty Village Ford) leads the contingent to CMS, with fellow championship contenders Michael Self (No. 25 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota), Bret Holmes (No. 23 Holmes II Excavation/Southern States Bank Chevrolet), Joe Graf, Jr. (No. 77 EAT SLEEP RACE Ford), and Christian Eckes (No. 15 JBL Audio Toyota) also scheduled to participate.
Defending series champion Sheldon Creed (No. 21 GMS Racing Chevrolet) will attend the test as he prepares to make his first ARCA Menards Series start of the season. Daytona winner Harrison Burton (No. 20 DEX Imaging Toyota), fourth-generation Petty family racer Thad Moffitt (No. 46 Transportation Impact Chevrolet), and defending NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Pro Stock champion Tanner Gray are also scheduled to participate.
