SONOMA, Calif. — Noah Gragson and Jefferson Pitts Racing picked up right where they left off in 2016: with speed and running up front.
Gragson and JPR finished the first and only K&N Pro Series West practice at Sonoma Raceway for the Procore 200 quickest, with his 91.178 mph circuit coming on his final lap (10) in the 85-minute session.

“I still feel like we need to do some work to get our car better,” Gragson said. “Our JPR Camaro is really good, we just need a little bit more. But getting back with Jefferson Pitts Racing, we have really good road course equipment. I like working with Jerry Pitts, he was my crew chief back in 2015 and 2016. Feels really good to get back here at Sonoma, this is one of my favorite tracks. To do it with these guys, they’re the best team out here.”
