Notes & Quotes:—

-Mayer started sixth based on practice speeds since qualifying was rained out earlier in the day. His No. 21 Chevy Accessories Chevrolet was loose much of the race and the team pitted twice for four tires and track bar adjustments to tighten up his car.

-A caution with nine laps to go changed the landscape of the race. The leaders all came to pit road for fresh tires, but Mayer stayed out and assumed the lead. He held off the field until the final lap when Ty Gibbs drove hard into turn three to get by Mayer.

-Mayer finished the race in third place for his fourth top-five in five ARCA starts this season.

-Mayer’s next event will be at Elko Speedway in Minnesota on July 13 in the ARCA Racing Series.

“I feel like we had about a fifth-place Chevy Accessories Chevrolet tonight, but we had track position at the end. We were leading going into turn three and it’s unfortunate how we lost it. I didn’t get passed, I got rear ended pretty much, but on to the next race. I’m really excited for what we have. We came home with a top three, but it wasn’t a top-three car tonight. Everyone at GMS puts together great cars, so we’ll go to Elko in a few weeks and hopefully win that one.”
