For the second week in a row, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will do battle as the 2019 season rolls on. At the conclusion of this event, the season will be halfway over. Time flies, huh?
As the championship points battle has all of a sudden heated up, Roseburg, Oregon marks the site of the seventh race of the season, but the last for the series in almost a month. Waiting almost 30 days with a bad taste in your mouth is the last thing a driver wants leaving Douglas County.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Derek Kraus enters Douglas County with the points lead … barely.
Driver of the No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota had an eventful Saturday at Sonoma Raceway to say the least. After going three laps down due to a fuel pump issue, he worked his way back onto the lead lap and was in position to somehow score a top 10.
On the final overtime restart, Kraus was sent off track and fell to 19th, where he ultimately finished. His Bill McAnally Racing teammate and Sonoma polesitter Hailie Deegan finished eighth, making up more than 10 points on Kraus. She trails him by only one point.
But a trip to Oregon may be just what the doctor ordered for Kraus. He won this race last season, leading all but 20 laps and surviving an overtime finish in an overall dominant evening. It also marked the seventh time in the last eight trips to Roseburg that a Bill McAnally Racing car ended up in Victory Lane.
Jagger Jones an Trevor Huddleston have enjoyed rock solid seasons for Sunrise Ford thus far, punctuated with driver No. 9‘s first career K&N Pro Series victory at Irwindale Speedway. Jones has been close to victories in his rookie season, most notably losing the lead in his first race at Las Vegas to Deegan after lapped traffic impacted his finish.
The two survived the 32-car field at Sonoma and escaped with good points days, all things considered. From here on out, look for the two blue-nd-orange Bob Bruncati owned cars to become more aggressive in pursuit of dethroning BMR.
So did Matt Levin and Kody Vanderwal, who crossed the finish line in Sonoma 12th and 15th, respectively, but will now turn their attention to ovals for the remainder of the season. Levin sits fifth in the standings while Vanderwal sits seventh.
After back-to-back rough weekends marred by rear end and engine woes, Travis Milburn is looking to get back on track. His No. 08 Kart Idaho Racing team sits 10th in the standings.
