QUALIFYING: Chase Cabre Earns First Pole In Over Two Years At NHMS

LOUDON, N.H. — For the first time in over two years, Chase Cabre can call himself a polesitter.

The driver of the No. 4 Toyota for Rev Racing laid down a 29.849-second lap around New Hampshire Motor Speedway, earning him his first K&N Pro Series East pole since May of 2017 in South Boston. Cabre is coming off his first career series win at Memphis International Raceway.

“I knew we had speed in practice,” Cabre said. “But when we were in the middle of the lap, I didn’t think it was a pole lap. When they called that I ran a 29.84, I was like ‘alright, cool!’ We got the pole, going to be a good start to the weekend. We were fast in the first practice, made some long run gains in the second practice. We’ll go into the race and see if we (can) pull through.”

Max McLaughlin (29.853), Sam Mayer (29.892), Tanner Gray (29.972) and Riley Herbst (29.973) rounded out the top five qualifiers.

2018 NHMS fall winner Brandon McReynolds, Spencer Davis, Colin Garrett, championship points leader Derek Kraus and Ruben Garcia Jr. completed the top 10.

QUALIFYING RESULTS
