QUALIFYING: Chase Cabre Earns Fourth Career Pole, First At Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Chase Cabre came up one spot short at Bristol Motor Speedway in the spring, and is looking to make sure he does one better this time around.

The Tampa, Florida native and two-time K&N Pro Series East winner this season earned the pole for Thursday night’s Bush’s Beans 150 with a 15.219-second circuit. The pole is Cabre’s fourth of his career and second this season.

“We were 10th on the board in practice and at one point we were like 15th on the board,” Cabre said. “(His Rev Racing crew) kept working, got us all the way up to second or third in practice and ended up on pole in qualifying. Didn’t know how it was going to be in qualifying trim. Our race run speed is really good . Hopefully that carries into the race and we go put this thing in Victory Lane.”

After winning the pole in the spring and leading all 150 laps en route to the victoryt, campionship points leader Sam Mayer (15.330) qualified second, with Spencer Davis (15.389), Mason Diaz (15.405) and Max McLaughlin (15.443) rounding out the top five.

Ruben Garcia Jr., Ty Gibbs, Tanner Gray, Colin Garrett and Brandon McReynolds completed the top 10.
