PRACTICE: Spencer Davis Tops Session In New Hampshire

LOUDON, N.H. — Almost one month removed from his victory at Worldwide Technology Raceway, Spencer Davis remained quick in K&N Pro Series East practice at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The Rette Jones Racing driver posted a lap of 29.867 seconds around “The Magic Mile,” coming on his 24th of 24 laps in the 75-minute session.

“We unloaded really good,” Davis said. “We got behind the No. 21 (Sam Mayer) in practice and ran him down on our first run and I knew we were good from there. Car just handled good, too. It’s all in preparation at the shop, still.”

“We put a lot of hours into this car to make sure we were good for New Hampshire,” he said. “Because besides the race we broke, this was probably our worst race this year. We wanted to rebound. Coming off a win, you don’t want the next one to be a dud.”

Winner at NHMS earlier this season Chase Cabre (29.990), Tanner Gray (30.209), championship points leader Sam Mayer (30.221) and Ty Gibbs (30.235) completed the top five speeds.

Ruben Garcia Jr., Nick Sanchez, Josh Berry, Max McLaughlin and Justin S. Carroll rounded out the top 10. Armani Williams and Josh Fanopoulos did not participate in the session.
