Chips Ahoy! Herr’s to Flavor Victory Lane Celebration at Lucas Oil Raceway

When you pull into victory lane at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, you can expect to chug a nice cool drink of milk.

When you stand atop the victory podium at Monza, or most other Formula One races, you get to shower the adoring crowds below with champagne.

In many NASCAR victory lane celebrations, the winning driver showers his team and anyone within reach with a multi-flavored spray of Gatorade.

On Saturday, October 5, the victory celebration will be a little different in the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway.

As is tradition every year when Herr’s Foods sponsors an ARCA Menards Series race, the winner will be showered by his team in victory lane with potato chips. When mixed with the traditional shower of water, Gatorade, and/or any other beverages the winning team can get their hands on it can make post-race inspection and the team’s washdown of the car back at the shop a real challenge.

Fans attending the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway can sample many of the flavors Herr’s produces with a free snack-sized sample bag at the gate.

Part of the Menards vendor program through the company’s entitlement sponsorship of the ARCA Menards Series, Herr’s has been a race entitlement sponsor since 2012 and has sponsored race events at Winchester Speedway, the Springfield Mile, and Madison International Speedway before transitioning to the event at Lucas Oil Raceway in 2019. Herr’s full line of quality snacks now consists of more than 340 items, including potato chips, pretzels, tortilla chips, cheese curls, popcorn, crackers, nuts, pork rinds, onion rings, and meat sticks. All are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and flavors.

The ARCA Menards Series returns to action on Saturday October 5 with the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway. Practice starts the day’s activities at 2 pm ET, with General Tire Pole Qualifying at 5 pm ET. The 200-lap main event, scheduled for live broadcast MAVTV, will go green shortly after 8 pm ET.
