As the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West heads to All American Speedway and Roseville, California, the attention always turns to Bill McAnally.
From Roseville, McAnally got his start in the sport in 1986 racing at All American, starting in the lower levels from bombers, to street stocks into the top division. Whenever he gets a chance to come back home and showcase his race team in the series he’s dominated, he relishes it.

“It is a big weekend for us with friends, family, business associates, people we work with in the community day in and day out,” McAnally told NASCAR.com. “It‘s rewarding to bring the K&N Pro Series into the community that we work in and are a part of. It‘s been fun to do since 2008 and we enjoy it. The community really embraces it, just a great event to have in our hometown.”
“I‘ve wanted nothing more than to bring this series to my hometown.”
McAnally’s longstanding partnership with NAPA Auto Parts and now ENEOS allows a plethora of sponsorship opportunities not only on his cars, but as race sponsorships and at-track activation as well.

Instead of his typical three drivers of championship points leader Derek Kraus, three-time winner Hailie Deegan and Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Brittney Zamora, two additional drivers will be piloting BMR Toyota’s on Saturday.
Dylan Garner, a Yorba Linda, California native, will be making his second career start for BMR. He started sixth and finished ninth at Irwindale Speedway earlier this season, and will be piloting the No. 50 NAPA Belts & Hoses/CPOMF Toyota this weekend.
“Dylan is a great talent, he‘s proven himself as a winner in late models at different tracks,” McAnally said. “He definitely knows how to drive a race car and he‘s got a great future in front of him, we enjoy working with him and having him in the field.
McAnally said Garner will also compete at the penultimate event at Kern County Raceway Park, where Garner regularly competes.
The fifth entry for BMR will be piloted by Derrick Doering, an Auburn, California native who competes at All American in the limited modified division. Doering won a contest put on by BMR to test a K&N Pro Series car. The test went well, he was approved, and will now make his series debut in the No. 12 Burning Barrel Toyota.

“Derrick got the lucky draw,” McAnally said. “That same night, he won his first ever feature event in that division, pretty cool.”
BMR has visited Victory Lane eight times since 2008, including sweeping the season in 2009 and 2010, and won last season with Cole Rouse.

But to enter their hometown event with five drivers, none of which have won at All American Speedway, feels a bit strange to McAnally.
“They‘re all capable of getting a win,” McAnally said. “But at these bullring short tracks we we saw at Meridian, anything can happen at anytime. Survival and being there at the end is first and foremost.”
Kraus’ championship points lead of 40 with three races remaining seems somewhat insurmountable, especially given his eight top fives, four top 10s and four wins.
But McAnally has earned his fair share of titles and seen his fair share slip away in the blink of an eye. In short, he’s not feeling too good … at least yet.
“I never do until it‘s done,” he said. “We‘ve got three races and we‘ll take them one at a time, but it‘s a lot better going into them leading than trying to catch up. I‘m happy for Derek and I think we can improve a little with Hailie, we‘ve got some unfinished business to get done with Brittney before the year ends. But we‘re excited for it.”
