TOLEDO, Ohio — Mason Diaz used a late run to show the way at Toledo Speedway.
The 20-year-old from Manassas, Virginia, paced practice Saturday for the evening’s Herr’s Potato Chips 200 Presented by Federated Car Care. Diaz piloted the No. 25 Solid Rock Carrier Toyota around the half-mile in 16.255 seconds to post the fastest lap in the 45-minute ARCA Menards Series East session.
Diaz’s lap late in the practice knocked Ty Gibbs off the top of the speed charts. Gibbs’ best lap was 16.255.

Series championship leader Sam Mayer was third quick at 16.317. Giovanni Bromante was fourth and Nick Sanchez fifth.
Chase Cabre, Max McLaughlin, Bret Holmes, Parker Retzlaff and Taylor Gray rounded out the top 10.
Qualifying is scheduled for 4:45 p.m.
The Herr’s Potato Chips 200 Presented by Federated Car Care is slated to take the green flag at 6 p.m. Fans can watch the race live and for free through Trackpass on NBC Gold.
