MOORESVILLE, NC – Sean Corr and Empire Racing, are pleased to announce a new partnership between Yelverton’s Enrichment Services, Inc. (YES) and their iconic team. Corr, will pilot the No. 8 Chevrolet SS in ARCA Menards Series (ARCA) action this Saturday, June 20 at Talladega Superspeedway for the General Tire 200.
Yelverton’s Enrichment Services, Inc., through their YES Foundation, are a leading provider of treatment and rehabilitative services for at-risk youth and persons with mental health disabilities in the State of North Carolina. Since 2006, YES has actively served individuals ages five-years old and up. Delivering child and adolescent day treatment, intensive in-home, outpatient therapy, outpatient plus-child, medication management/telemedicine, community support and private nursing services. YES also provides school based mental health and private duty nursing throughout North Carolina.
“Not many people realize how much of a contact sport racing is and, in many ways, its comparable to football, basketball or soccer. Yelverton’s Enrichment Services is looking into the motorsports side of mental health, which hits close to home as a driver that has had to perform post-concussion syndrome therapy,” said Sean Corr. “Their involvement in the community goes far beyond sports and it’s great to have them as a marketing partner for this weekend’s General Tire 200 and future races to come.”
Corr, a Goshen, N.Y. native, has become a veteran of the ARCA Series over the last several years, and showing his racing finesse on the Superspeedway stops each year at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. To-date, he has eight Talladega starts in ARCA and one in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. With veteran crew chief Mike “Grumpy” Cheek by his side, the duo expects a strong showing in this weekend’s 202-mile event at the famed 2.66-mile track.
YES remains active in the community by hosting outreach and awareness events to include mental health summits hosted at local churches, community events and social media platforms. One of their goals is to bridge the gap between metal health and the community while destigmatizing mental health and increasing awareness. Team YES is excited to collaborate with Corr and Empire Racing to use their No. 8 machine to continue to raise awareness and funs to serve uninsured/under-insured children, teenagers and adults.
Looking to build off the momentum from a strong start to the season at Daytona with a fourth-place finish, Corr and team will be set to tackle the high-banks in hopes of taking the No. 8 Yelverton’s Enrichment Services, Inc. Chevrolet SS to victory lane.
