PRACTICE: Hailie Deegan Shows The Way At Lebanon I-44 Speedway

LEBANON, Mo. — The return to a short track suits Hailie Deegan.

The 19-year-old from Temecula, California, piloted the No. 4 Monster Energy Ford to the top of the practice charts Saturday afternoon as the ARCA Menard Series makes its debut at Lebanon I-44 Speedway.

Deegan had a lap of 14.964 seconds (90.217) around the .375-mile banked oval in preperation for the evening’s Zinsser SmartCoat 200. Deegan led most of the session before posting the only sub-15 second lap of the field on the 39th of her 40 laps.

Ty Gibbs jumped to second on the practice charts at 15.130 (89.227). Sam Mayer was third quick at 15.212 (88.746).

Taylor Smith was fourth fastest, while Sioux Chief Showdown championship points leader Chandler Smith was fifth.

ARCA Menards Series points leader Michael Self was sixth, followed by his closest challenger, Bret Holmes, in seventh. Drew Dollar, Kris Wright and Mike Basham rounded out the top 10.

The race is the 14th on the ARCA Menards Series schedule, and the eighth of 10 in the Sioux Chief Showdown.

General Tire Pole Award qualifying is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT, while the green flag for the Zinsser SmartCoat 200 is at 8 p.m. (MAVTV & TrackPass on NBC Gold)
