WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

For Sam Mayer and Ty Gibbs, who have both visited Victory Lane at Toledo this season, Saturday’s race means more than just bragging rights. While neither are factors in the ARCA Menards Series championship picture because of their ages, Mayer leads his rival by 13 points in the East title race.

Meanwhile, Michael Self and Bret Holmes are separated by just one point for the ARCA Menards Series chase.

Royal Truck & Trailer 200

In the first event back in June, Holmes opted to run the East race at Toledo. He came away with a third-place finish and renewed confidence, and he’s clawed his way back into the championship conversation. He finished one spot ahead of Self on July 31 and August 2.

And then there’s Chandler Smith.

The Georgia driver won the General Tire Pole Award and led 103 laps in the July 31 race before finishing 11th with suspension issues. He bounced back and finish second in the race abbreviated race that was concluded two days later. He also won the 2019 race at Toledo.

While Hailie Deegan is still looking for her first win and is coming off a strong showing at Lebanon I-44 Speedway, the driver on the move is her DGR Crosley teammate Taylor Gray. Gray had a top five run in his debut at Toledo in June stymied by transmission issues, and then finished third in July.
