NASCAR Winners At Homestead Connected By Prior ARCA Menards Success

This past weekend was another one full of NASCAR winners who started their journeys to success on the ARCA Menards Series platform, with both winners at Homestead-Miami Speedway having tasted victory in ARCA before climbing the ladder.

On Saturday, Richard Childress Racing’s Myatt Snider earned his first NASCAR Xfinity Series win in his 36th start. Snider competed in the ARCA Menards Series in 2016 for Cunningham Motorsports, winning in his series debut at Toledo Speedway before moving into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2017.

Snider has also raced internationally, making 13 starts in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Elite 2 Series in 2019 before landing an Xfinity Series ride in 2020.

Sunday’s winner William Byron continued his meteoric rise through the ranks with his second NASCAR Cup Series victory. Byron won four races and the 2015 series championship in what is now the ARCA Menards Series East before leaping into the NASCAR Camping World Trucks in 2016, where he won seven times and finished fifth in the final series standings.

Byron then moved into the NASCAR Xfinity Series and was the 2017 series champion with four wins to his credit. He now drives the familiar No. 24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports.

The ARCA Menards Series returns to action Saturday, March 13, at Phoenix Raceway for the General Tire 150. The race will also serve as the season-opener for the ARCA Menards Series West.
