V1 Fiber Partners With Andy Jankowiak For Talladega Race

BUFFALO, N.Y. — V1 Fiber, a North Carolina-based fiber engineering and construction company, has teamed with Andy Jankowiak and the AJ Racing team for the April 24 running of the General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway.

V1 Fiber Communications was founded in 1994 and today is a full service national provider of telecommunications construction, installation and maintenance services for V1 Fiber clients. With steady growth and reinvestment in the company since its inception, V1 Fiber has become a leader in the telecom fiber construction industry.

The company is based in Mooresville, North Carolina, with numerous projects spread across the Southeast. V1 Fiber has built thousands of miles of coaxial and fiber optic plants throughout the U.S. and plans to continue to grow with a commitment to excellence within the fiber optics industry.

Sstate-of-the-art “trenchless technologies” allow V1 Fiber to install plants for customers throughout the country with minimal disturbance to surrounding areas. V1 Fiber also offers extensive fiber optic splicing capabilities, allowing V1 Fiber to service even the most remote plants.

Much like Jankowiak’s dedicated pit crew on the No. 73 AJ Racing team in the ARCA Menards Series, V1Fiber is always able to provide a crew on standby to take care of emergency needs for a fiber network. V1 Fiber also offers a maintenance agreement, ensuring V1 Fiber will be the first responders for priority clients 24/7.

Jankowiak, the owner of the AJ Racing team, is a rookie driver trying to make an impression in the ARCA Menards Series. After a strong performance in his first race in February at Daytona International Speedway, Jankowiak is looking for another strong run at Talladega.

Jankowiak is accustomed to success in racing. He is a regular winner on the Race of Champions Modified Tour and in the Indoor Auto Racing Championship Series, where he has won back-to-back titles in Atlantic City, the series crown jewel event, and the 2020 series championship.

Jankowiak and the AJ Racing team head into Talladega with momentum and a well-prepared No. 73 Ford Fusion. It will be the second race for the new team, and Jankowiak has high expectations.

“I really believe we have a chance to compete for a win at Talladega,” Stated Jankowiak, a 33-year-old from Tonawanda, New York. “We have a great group of guys working on this car and awesome sponsors behind our effort, so we have everything we need to go try and compete for a win.

“We are all excited to have V1 Fiber as a sponsor. From our very first phone call it has been a great relationship, and everyone at the company is just as excited about the upcoming race as we are. Racing is passion; that’s what keeps us all motivated, and everyone at V1 Fiber shares in that enthusiasm. Those are the types of partnerships that help us all reach our goals. I am very excited to represent V1 Fiber.”

Speed and results on the track depend on a team that operates quickly and efficiently. V1 Fiber similarly relies on a well-oiled team to deliver quality fiber networks effectively and quickly.

“Andy’s incredible story resonated with the V1 Fiber team and the importance of family,” said Walter Rhinehart, Vice President of Sales & Business Development at V1 Fiber. “Andy built his career with the support of his family and love of auto racing that passed down to him by this father and uncle. The V1 Fiber team is also a close-knit group of individuals with family ties to telecommunications, and with over 90 years combined experience at the executive level, a confidence that comes with our craft.

“The fiber business is a lot like racing: It requires precision, expert planning and, above all else, it’s fast.”

Speed and efficiency are the goals shared by both V1 Fiber and the AJ Racing team, which heads Talladega with those goals in mind and ambition for a strong performance as the new team attempts to gain traction in the ARCA Menards Series.

“We are lucky to have a partner like V1 Fiber on board with our team, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of us,” added Jankowiak.

The General Tire 200 at Talladega is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, with a start time of 1 p.m. ET. The race will broadcast live on FS1.
