BUFFALO, N.Y. — Phillips 66, a brand familiar to auto racing, will be the feature sponsor for Andy Jankowiak and the AJ Racing Team for three ARCA Menards Series race this season, beginning with Friday’s General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 at Pocono Raceway.
Phillips 66 will highlight its lubricants division with the upstart team that has finished in the top 10 in its first three races. Phillips 66 also will highlight its business partnership with Konnect General Stores.
Konnect General Services, a premier services provider, is a Texas-based company that will highlight its Convenience Store branches as part of this sponsorship campaign. As distributors of Phillips 66 and Conoco products, Konnect General Services provides a unique supply solution that gives business owners the opportunity to sell nationally recognized brands, affordable store improvement upgrades and more.

Jankowiak in February made his ARCA Menards Series debut at Daytona International Speedway in the General Tire 200, running in the top 10 for the entire race and finishing eighth. Jankowiak followed his Daytona success with a seventh-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway and a ninth-place run at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
“We’re proud to partner with Andy; he works super hard as an owner/driver, and he embodies the spirit and the values of the Konnect General Services team and our mission to help independent retailers compete in the ultra-competitive fuel and convenience marketplace,” said Kevin Lapierre, founder and CEO of Konnect General Services.
Added Jankowiak: “I am amazed at the operational similarities between Konnect General Services and AJ Racing. We are always looking for a competitive advantage, and that’s exactly what Kevin and his team do for independent operators of truck stops and convenience stores.”
An admirer of stock car history, Jankowiak could not help but be taken back by the history that represented in the Phillips 66 logo on the hood of his race car.
“It is very recognizable to me as a race fan,” he said. “Dick Trickle and Phil Parsons both carried the logo, as well as Elliot Sadler, in races I watched growing up. It goes without saying that we are very proud to represent Phillips 66 and Konnect General Stores.”
