ARCA Menards Series race at Pocono postponed to Saturday morning

Mother Nature ended up winning at Pocono Raceway on Friday evening.

A band of rain showers ended up moving through the Pocono Mountains shortly before the green flag for the Sunset Hill Shooting Range 150, which forced the ARCA Menards Series to postpone the race to 8:30 a.m. ET on Saturday morning.

When the green flag does fly tomorrow, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor Dean Thompson will lead the field. Thompson claimed his first GT Pole Award of his ARCA Menards Series career with a time of 53.763 seconds.

Joining Thompson on the outside of the front row is his teammate and current ARCA Menards Series points leader Jesse Love. Rounding out the top-five starters are Andres Perez de Lara, Jake Finch and Connor Mosack.

FS1 and FloRacing will have coverage of the Sunset Hill Shooting Range 150 tomorrow morning to kick off a busy day of racing at Pocono Raceway.
