The ARCA Menards Series will return to Iowa Speedway for the 17th time in 2024, but this visit will be unlike any other.
This time, the ARCA Menards Series will open the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series weekend at the 7/8-mile oval located in Newton, just 30 minutes east of Des Moines.
The ARCA Menards Series race will open the weekend on Friday, June 14, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series will return for the first time since 2019 on Saturday, June 15. The NASCAR Cup Series’ inaugural Iowa race will headline the weekend on Sunday, June 16.

Steven Wallace won the track’s first ARCA Menards Series race in 2006. Coincidentally, the speedway was designed by his father, 1989 NASCAR Cup Series champion Rusty Wallace.
Other notable ARCA winners at Iowa include Frank Kimmel, Parker Kligerman, Ty Dillon, Alex Bowman, Grant Enfinger, Mason Mitchell, Chase Briscoe, Sheldon Creed, Chandler Smith, Ty Gibbs and Sammy Smith.
