KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The VFW announced today its return to the automotive racing industry in effort to bring its programs and services directly to race fans, a population notably comprised of veterans, service members and their families.
The VFW kicks off its efforts with stock car series driver Ryan Roulette in the Fast Track Racing No. 12 at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024.
An Afghanistan War veteran, Ryan has been a Life member of the VFW Department of North Dakota since 2023 and is the only Active Duty Air Force officer racing professionally in the ARCA Menards Series.

In 2023, the VFW and Ryan Roulette Racing teamed up for races at Flat Rock Speedway in Michigan, Elko Speedway in Minnesota, Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee and Phoenix Raceway in Arizona.
“The support from our state and local VFW representatives at last year’s races was outstanding,” said Dan West, adjutant general of the VFW. “We intend to build off that momentum this year to further camaraderie among veteran race fans and let them know about the many programs and services the VFW has available.”
