Isaac Johnson returns to the ARCA Menards Series with Van Alst Motorsports for Daytona ARCA 200

ANDERSON, Indiana (February 7, 2024) – Isaac Johnson will once again return to the ARCA Menards Series for the season opener at Daytona International Speedway on February 17, 2024.

Johnson will pilot the No. 34 Ford in a second entry for Van Alst Motorsports and drive for the defending race winner’s team, Greg Van Alst.

“I’ve always had a ton of respect for Greg and what he has done with his local Indiana team. Being able to see him win last year at Daytona helped show me that if he can do it…then maybe I can too. It’ll be really cool going down to Daytona as the “Indiana team.” Johnson, an Indiana native, said.

“As a teammate, it’s been fun to have someone with as much passion about racing as myself. He is a genuine person and wants to see the team grow. We’re excited to see how he does at Daytona,” Van Alst remarked.

Johnson’s last ARCA start was also his series debut in August of last year where he put together an impressive 12th place finish at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Johnson will go from racing on a .686-mile oval short track to a 2.5-mile, 31 degree banking superspeedway at Daytona.

“I’m super excited to get to race at Daytona. It has been a lifelong dream to get the opportunity to race there. I’ll never forget the first time I saw those high banks at the Daytona 500 in 2010. Seeing my favorite driver, Dale Jr., come from the back to make a late race charge I just hoped one day I’d get to race there. It’s truly a dream come true and I hope to get more opportunities like this one.”

The primary sponsor on the hood of Johnson’s Ford will be Endress+Hauser. The driver-sponsor relationship will be a special one as Johnson, a sales engineer as his daytime job, works with the company on a daily basis in the office.

“It’ll be awesome having them on board at Daytona as well as having some of their employees and customers at the racetrack with us. I’m very lucky to have gotten the support of Endress+Hauser and I’m excited to see where this relationship goes.”

Sponsorship opportunities with Johnson and Van Alst Motorsports are still available. Johnson and the team are looking to add more races to their 2024 ARCA campaign.
