After a lengthy break following the opening race of the season at Phoenix Raceway, the stars of the ARCA Menards Series West are back in action this Saturday night with the running of the MMI Oil Workers 150 presented by the West Coast Stock Car Motorsports Hall of Fame at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway (8:15 p.m. PT/11:15 p.m. ET on FloRacing).
The West Series debuted at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in 2013, with Greg Pursley securing his first of two consecutive Kern Raceway victories on Oct. 26 of that year. Following Pursley’s two wins at Kern, Dylan Lupton, Dalton Sargeant, Todd Gilliland, Derek Kraus, Taylor Gray, Landen Lewis and, most recently, Sean Hingorani have secured wins at Kern.
Kraus is the all-time win leader in West Series competition at Kern. Between 2017 and 2020, Kraus won four straight races at the half-mile asphalt oval.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Defending ARCA Menards Series West champion Sean Hingorani enters Saturday’s MMI Oil Workers 150 presented by the West Coast Stock Car Motorsports Hall of Fame as the defending race winner at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway.
The win last year at the half-mile oval was his second of four during his West Series championship season with Venturini Motorsports. This year he returns to Kern with a new team, Hattori Racing Enterprises, but ultimately the same goal of winning races and chasing a championship.
Among those looking to deny him a return trip to Victory Lane is 2014 ARCA Menards Series champion Mason Mitchell, who is making his return to ARCA competition for the first time since 2018. He’ll drive the No. 23 for team owner Joe Farré, who will also be in the field aboard his own No. 24.
Tyler Reif, at the wheel of the No. 13 Ford, will look to put Central Coast Racing in Victory Lane on Saturday, as will team owner and Reif’s teammate Todd Souza. Bill McAnally Racing will have two entries in the field, with Jack Wood piloting the No. 16 Chevrolet and Eric Johnson Jr. steering the No. 19 Chevrolet.
P.J. Pedroncelli is scheduled to make his first start since 2022 for team owner Rodd Kneeland in the No. 33 Chevrolet. Another driver making his return to West Series competition is John Moore. The father of West Series winner Cole Moore is scheduled to make his first start since 2022 in the No. 88 for team owner Mike Naake.
Other notable entries include Trevor Huddleston, Kole Raz, Takuma Koga, Eric Nascimento, Kyle Keller, Robbie Kennealy and John Borneman III, among others.
