Brayton Laster joins Peterson Motorsports for home race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park

GREENWOOD, Indiana – Brayton Laster, a fan-favorite in the ARCA garage, will return to the ARCA Menards Series for his fourth race of the season, and his first race with Wayne Peterson Motorsports at his hometown track, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

The 21-year-old driver from Greenwood, Indiana, will pilot the organization’s No. 06 Toyota Camry in the Circle City 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 19.

In 2023, Laster acquired three top-10 finishes, all driving for Rise Motorsports, and looks to gather his first top-10 of 2024 at his home track with a new team to him.

“It has definitely been a rough year for us. We missed the show at Daytona, and then I do not have a whole lot of intermediate experience so my races at Pheonix and Kansas were all about seat time and not focusing primarily on being competitive, so going back to a short track where I can try to shine is definitely much needed,” said Laster. “I’ve competed on all types of tracks now in the ARCA platform, but prior to racing ARCA I was running across the midwest on dirt and asphalt at short tracks just like IRP. It is where I typically feel most comfortable and competitive at. It is always exciting when you’re with a new group, especially one whose roots are as embedded into NASCAR and ARCA as Wayne Peterson’s.”

Wayne Peterson, owner of Wayne Peterson Motorsports, has competed and fielded cars in the ARCA Menards Series since the early 1980s. The Pulaski, Tennessee native is one of the longest running ARCA Menards Series teams still competing to this day, and fields the No. 06 full time in the ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards East Series.

“The entire team is excited to have Brayton in the #06 Toyota Camry for Indianapolis Raceway Park,” Nate Moeller, crew chief, said. “It is always fantastic to have a new driver with the team, and especially when they get to run at their home track and we are really looking forward to the whole weekend!”

The team’s primary sponsorship efforts will be announced at a later date. Long time partners @Cyber_Fox_ on X.com, AC-Cages.com, Cain’s Tree Service, Running’s Racing Designs, Pizza Specialist Inc, Matrix Apparel, and others will be riding onboard. Fans can take advantage of Laster’s “Mom & Pop Shop Sponsorship Deal” to get their logo on the rear decklid of the car in a 3” x 3” area or a 6” x 6” for $100 or $250, respectively. Laster is currently attempting to also race in the Salem ARCA 200 at Salem Speedway on July 27th for Wayne Peterson, but it all comes down to the result in the Circle City 200.
