ARCA Final Appeals Officer amends penalty against Kevin Reed Jr.

The ARCA Final Appeals Officer, Mr. Rollie Helmling, heard and considered an appeal of a behavioral penalty issued on July 11, 2024, to No. 55 ARCA Menards Series/ARCA Menards Series West crew member Kevin Reed, Jr.:

Upon hearing the testimony, the decisions of the ARCA Final Appeals Officer are:

That the Appellant violated the Rule(s) set forth in the Penalty Notice.

That the Final Appeals Officer has adjusted the Penalty to a suspension of one race weekend and a no-tolerance probation for the remainder of 2024 and an indefinite  period beyond.

In reaching the above decision, the Final Appeals Officer provided the following explanation:

“The integrity of competitive, fair and safe competition is a sanctioning body’s obligation. Racing cannot continue without engaged entrants, an excited fan base, recognized partners and quality facilities to conduct racing events. All these must be accomplished and connected. The projection and actions of ARCA racing participants, both in person and on media, is vital to the future and sustainability of the racing series. Regrettably the actions at the conclusion of the July 6, 2024, ARCA West Series race at Irwindale Speedway put this at risk. Even though all involved had their respective best interest competing in this race there were occurrences that night which placed this in jeopardy.”
