Takuma Koga joins Fast Track Racing for Daytona opener and full ARCA Menards Series East season

HARRISBURG, N.C. — The 2025 season will be one of change for longtime ARCA Menards Series platform staple Takuma Koga.

Following eight full time seasons in the ARCA Menards Series West, including seven consecutive top 10 points finishes, Koga will set his sights Eastward for a return to the high banks of Daytona International Speedway and his debut season in the ARCA Menards Series East. The Nagoya, Japan native will join the ranks of Fast Track Racing for at least nine races and will pilot the No. 12 Toyota Camry for team owner and 1995 ARCA Menards Series champion Andy Hillenburg.

“I am proud to announce that for the 2025 season, I will be competing full-time in the ARCA East Series, including Daytona, with Fast Track Racing,” said a very excited Koga. “I am determined to learn as much as possible from team owner Andy, a Daytona winner, and to work with everyone on the team to make this an incredible season. We are fully prepared to give it our all.”

“2025 is going to be an exciting year for Fast Track. Having Takuma’s experience from the West Series will be great for our younger drivers with his perspective to help them and our team,” said Hillenburg. “I am looking forward to getting Takuma off to a great start at Daytona, and in our partnership this season.”

Yokohama, Japan based technology company Macnica will serve as the primary sponsor for Koga’s No. 12 Toyota Camry at Daytona and will be an associate sponsor for all remaining races. Joining Macnica, Yamada Infra Technos, Ikedo, GR Garage Takatsuji, MAC Systems TAKT, Koshi No Kanabi, Picasso Creative, World Clean, Motorsports Supporters, Speed Graphix, Running’s Racing Designs and Crazy Ken Brand all return to support the 2025 campaign.

Dick Doheny, a long-time competitor and crew chief with Fast Track, will serve as Kogaa’s crew chief for Daytona and East series starts, and Hillenburg will serve as Koga’s Spotter.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to race alongside my Fast Track Racing teammates. Get ready to enjoy the excitement at Daytona,” Koga said.

Race fans can catch the season opener at Daytona live on FOX, MRN, arcaracing.com and the Fox Sports App at 12 p.m. ET Saturday, February 15. The ARCA Menards Series East season gets under way Saturday, March 22, at Florida’s Five Flags Speedway with times to be determined at a later date.
