Nolan Wilson, Kimmel Racing to join forces at Talladega

Nolan Wilson will once again pilot the No. 69 Ford Mustang in the ARCA Menards Series for Kimmel Racing. This time, Wilson will test his skills at the biggest track on the circuit, Talladega Superspeedway, on April 26th at 12:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

This will be the second time in 2025 the 51-year-old will drive for the veteran race team. The first go-round was at Daytona International Speedway, where Wilson finished 28th after he was caught up in an early, multi-car wreck.

“I’m ready to get in the car today if I could,” Wilson said. “The group over at Kimmel Racing are a bunch of pros, very grateful to be back behind the wheel. I’ll do everything in my power to get that No. 69 Mustang to the front. Can’t wait for my second race with Bill, Will and the the rest of the Kimmel team.”

Bill Kimmel Jr., the owner of Kimmel Racing, is pumped for Wilson’s return to the No. 69 at ‘Dega.

“After our early exit from the Daytona race, we are excited to get Nolan back in the car,” Kimmel Jr. said. “We really thought we were in pretty good shape, only to get collected in someone else’s doing. Looking forward to Talladega.”

This will be the first time the Sanford, Florida resident has tackled the high banks at Talladega. Wilson, though, isn’t worried about what he has to do to dial up success at the 2.66-mile behemoth.

“A lot of similarities between Daytona and ‘Dega,” Wilson said. “Talladega is a little wider, a little longer, a little faster, and it’s banked a touch more, but that’s it. I love this type of racing. I have to get that No. 69 Ford Mustang up front and keep it up front.”

Wilson and the rest of the Kimmel Racing Team will first hit the pavement Friday, April 25th for practice before taking on Talladega Superspeedway for the ARCA 200 on Saturday, April 26th.
