PIT BOX: Return to Colorado National Speedway awaits ARCA Menards Series West teams

For the first time in four years, the stars and cars of the ARCA Menards Series West will return to Colorado National Speedway this Saturday night for the running of the Colorado 150 (6:30 p.m. MT / 8:30 p.m. ET on FloRacing).

Saturday’s race will mark the 20th visit for the West Series to Colorado National Speedway and first since 2021. Joey Iest, driving for team owner Mike Naake, bested Jesse Love to earn his only West Series victory to date during the series’ most recent stop at the 0.375-mile asphalt oval.

The West Series made its first visit to Colorado National Speedway in 1995, when the late Mike Chase led 172 of 200 laps on his way to the ninth West Series victory of his career. Other winners at Colorado National include Ron Hornaday Jr., Steve Portenga, Mike Duncan, Eric Holmes, Paulie Harraka, Eric Holmes, Dylan Kwasniewski, Greg Pursley, Derek Thorn, Chris Eggleston, Hailie Deegan and Love.

Colorado 150 at Colorado National Speedway

Colorado LogoOnly three races into the 2025 ARCA Menards Series West season and the battle for the series championship is already at a fever pitch.

After three races, Trevor Huddleston and Tanner Reif find themselves tied atop the ARCA Menards Series West standings. Both drivers have secured trips to Victory Lane early in the season, with Huddleston winning at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway and Reif securing a win in the most recent event at Tucson Speedway.

Huddleston and Reif will likely be the drivers to beat Saturday night at Colorado National Speedway. Huddleston has previous experience with the West Series at Colorado, while this will be Reif’s first visit to the track with the West Series.

Eric Johnson Jr., who finished a close second to Reif a few weeks ago at Arizona’s Tucson Speedway, will be among those chasing their first West Series victory Saturday at Colorado National. He’ll once again pilot the No. 5 for team owner Jerry Pitts.

A pair of Colorado natives, Holly Clark and Mariah Boudrieau, are scheduled to join the West Series regulars this weekend at Colorado National Speedway. Clark, who will drive the No. 72 for team owner Jonathan Reaume, will be making her series debut. This will be the sixth career start for Boudrieau, who will drive the No. 77 for Joe Nava.

Other notable entries include Kyle Keller, Robbie Kennealy, Eric Rhead, Todd Souza and Blake Lothian, among others. The full entry list for Saturday’s Colorado 150 is available here.
