GLENDORA, Calif. — Next week’s ARCA Menards West Series race at Kern County Raceway will mark a milestone for Jan’s Racing, as the Glendora-based team adds a third car to its lineup and makes history with a family-centered crew chief debut.
Joey Kennealy will make his season debut in the No. 9 car, joining his older brother Robbie Kennealy (No. 1) and teammate Kyle Keller (No. 71) under the Jan’s Racing banner. But the bigger story? Harley Kennealy, twin sister to Robbie, will serve as assistant crew chief for Joey—working under the guidance of veteran Crew Chief, Chris Greaney.
Harley, who has racing experience of her own and grew up immersed in the sport, will help lead her brothers from the pit box in what may be a first in ARCA Menards West history: brothers competing under the same team, with their sister helping lead the charge. This family-driven effort is even more meaningful as the Kennealy siblings honor the memory of their father, whose legacy in racing continues to inspire their path forward.
Kyle Keller (No. 71) continues to be mentored and guided by his veteran Crew Chief, Brian Kizer in addition to his sons BC Kizer (tire technician) and Aiden Kizer (spotter), maintaining Jan’s Racing’s deep focus on family, mentorship, and multigenerational development.
“We believe in building something more than a race team—we’re building leaders, teammates, and legacy,” said Jan Qualkenbush, team owner of Jan’s Racing. “Harley’s step into a leadership role beside Chris Greaney, working with her brothers, is something you don’t see every day in motorsports.”
“I’ve grown up around racing, and to now help guide my brothers on this level—under someone like Chris—is an incredible opportunity,” said Harley Kennealy. “It’s personal, and it’s powerful. Our dad would be proud.”
“This is a full-circle moment,” added Fran Kennealy, mother of the Kennealy siblings. “To see Harley, Robbie, and Joey all doing this together, leaning on each other, pushing each other—it’s everything our family is about.”
With three cars in the field and a pit wall full of legacy, mentorship, and heart, Jan’s Racing is ready to make headlines — and history — at Kern.
