Treyten Lapcevich joins Nitro Motorsports for ARCA event at Berlin Raceway; Thad Moffitt transitions to part-time

CONCORD, N.C. — Nitro Motorsports is excited to announce the addition of Treyten Lapcevich to its ARCA Menards Series program for the upcoming race at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan.

Taking place on June 14, Lapcevich, the 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Series champion, will pilot the team’s entry in place of Thad Moffitt, who will transition into a part-time schedule for the remainder of the 2025 season following a partner withdrawal.

The Canadian, Lapcevich, a standout competitor and proven winner in stock car racing, is set to make his ARCA debut with Nitro Motorsports and is eager to capitalize on the opportunity.

“I’m really excited to join Nitro Motorsports and compete in the ARCA Menards Series,” explained Treyten Lapcevich. “It’s a great chance to showcase what I can do with a strong team behind me. Their results as a rookie team this season have been impressive, and I am grateful for the trust they’ve put in me. I’m ready to get to work at Berlin.”

Team Owner Nick Tucker emphasized the team’s enthusiasm about bringing Lapcevich onboard while acknowledging Moffitt’s contributions to the program.

“Treyten is a talented driver with a ton of potential, and we’re thrilled to have him join Nitro Motorsports,” added Tucker. “At the same time, Thad has been a great asset to our team, and we fully support his continued involvement in a part-time role. We’re looking forward to building on the success we’ve already had this season.”

Moffitt, who has delivered strong performances throughout the year, expressed gratitude toward the team and optimism for the future.

“I can’t thank Nitro Motorsports enough for everything we’ve accomplished so far this season,” explained Thad Moffitt. “While I’m disappointed we couldn’t continue full-time, I’m proud of what we’ve built and look forward to more opportunities together later this year. While not behind the wheel, I will be one of the biggest fans of this young, but incredible program.”
