Nolan Wilson will be back behind the wheel of the No. 69 car for Kimmel Racing in the ARCA Menards Series at Daytona International Speedway in February.
The veteran driver will pilot a Chevrolet SS, a big change from the Ford he drove in 2025.
“We were lucky enough to acquire a superspeedway car from REV Racing. As the results have shown, it’s a pretty good piece. No excuses this time,” Wilson said.
The No. 69 Chevrolet will first hit the high banks of Daytona for ARCA Menards Series testing in January, followed by the 2026 Daytona ARCA 200 on Saturday, Feb. 14 exclusively on FOX.
Wilson drove for Kimmel Racing at both superspeedway races last season. He’s looking to build off their 14th place finish at Talladega in April.
“I learned a lot those two races last year, I felt like I knocked all the dust off from not having raced in a national series in a while,” Wilson said. “Daytona wasn’t what I hoped for, but we got some good laps in at Talladega and maximized the car we had. There’s no doubt with the Kimmel Racing team behind me, the sky is the limit on what we can accomplish, if we can stay out of trouble.”
Bill Kimmel Jr., owner of Kimmel Racing, is ready for the Sanford, Florida resident to get back in the seat at the World Center of Racing.
“Looking forward to Daytona this year,” Kimmel said. “Unfortunately, Nolan got wrapped up in someone else’s wreck last year early in the race. We only got to run 18-19 laps. We hope to have Nolan in a better car this year that can produce a better finish. We are excited and I know Nolan is excited to return.”
Wilson has plenty of experience at Daytona International Speedway, racing there in the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series and has turned more laps than one can count as a driving instructor there.
“It’s my favorite place in the whole world,” the 51-year-old said. “It all starts with the test. I expect to have good speed with this No. 69 Kimmel Racing Chevrolet SS. We need to start up front and stay up front in February. It’s as simple as that. If we can avoid the carnage and be there at the end, we got a good shot at this thing. There will be a bunch of people up in Turn 4 ready to climb the fence to victory lane.”
