MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Wesley Slimp will join Nitro Motorsports for a partial schedule in the ARCA Menards Series during the 2026 season. Slimp is set to contest five events, with his campaign kicking off at the iconic Daytona International Speedway.
“Nitro Motorsports continues to focus on developing drivers with the work ethic and adaptability to succeed at the next level,” explained Nick Tucker, Team Owner of Nitro Motorsports. “Wesley has shown he can compete across different platforms, and we’re excited to welcome him to the ARCA Menards Series. This partial schedule will allow us to build momentum, maximize preparation, and put him in position to be competitive from the outset.”
Slimp brings a diverse and proven racing background to the program, having competed across sports car and stock car disciplines. His résumé includes success in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America with multiple podium finishes, experience in Porsche Carrera Cup North America, and road-course starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series — highlighted by a strong top-15 result at Watkins Glen. That versatility and race craft position Slimp well for the demands of ARCA competition.
“I’m extremely excited to join Nitro Motorsports and take this step into the ARCA Menards Series,” said Slimp, who echoed of Team Co-Owner Nick Tucker’s enthusiasm as he prepares for his ARCA debut with the team. “Starting the season at Daytona is a huge opportunity, and I’m grateful for the confidence Nick and the entire team have shown in me. It is super important to me to be with one of the top teams in the series and chipping away at my craft, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the crew, learning the team and series, and making the most of every lap across these five events.”
Additional details regarding Slimp’s event schedule, car number, and partners will be announced at a later date.
