DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Josh White Racing is proud to announce that the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America is now displaying Josh White’s United States Marine Corps dress uniform, recognizing White’s service to the nation, his place in NASCAR history and his ongoing commitment to America’s military veterans.
White is recognized as the first United States Marine to race in NASCAR since 1966, the second Marine to race in NASCAR history, and the first 100 percent service-disabled United States Marine Corps veteran ever to race in NASCAR. His journey from the Marine Corps to NASCAR competition stands as a powerful example of courage, perseverance and purpose.
White enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2009 as a Combat Engineer, he served in the 4th Combat Engineering Battalion and was mobilized to Afghanistan during his enlistment. He served honorably until 2015 and left service as a Lance Corporal after being wounded. Following his military service, White turned his focus to motorsports and built Josh White Racing into a platform that reaches far beyond the race track.

“To have my Marine Corps dress uniform displayed at the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America is an incredible honor,” White said. “This uniform represents every Marine, every veteran and every service member who has sacrificed for this country.
“Racing has given us a way to keep those stories alive and to keep fighting for the men and women who still need support after coming home.”
In addition to his racing career, White is a strong advocate for military veterans. Through Josh White Racing, he raises awareness for veteran suicide prevention, PTSD and the challenges many service members face after returning home. The team frequently works with groups including the Marine Corps League and Signatures for Soldiers to support military missions, mental health awareness and veteran-focused outreach.
Josh also operates The Veterans Motorsport Tarining Center, an ASE-certified automotive mechanic training school and veteran-led nonprofit. The center operates a primary shop training facility in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, in partnership with Josh White Racing LLC, and runs driver development programs near Manassas, Virginia. The center uses race cars as hands-on teaching platforms to help veterans learn technical skills and transition into civilian careers in the automotive or motorsports industries.
The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America display marks another meaningful chapter in White’s story. It connects his honorable service, his historic NASCAR accomplishment, his work through Josh White Racing and his continuing mission to serve fellow veterans through motorsports.
“Josh represents service, sacrifice, and determination,” said Andy DeLay, Public Relations for Josh White Racing. “This recognition is not just about a uniform behind glass. It is about the story behind it, the Marines Josh served beside, the barriers he has broken in NASCAR, and the veterans he continues to stand up for today.”
Josh White Racing thanks the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America for honoring Josh White’s service and for helping share his story with race fans, veterans, service members and families who visit the Hall.
